Austrian sailor and visionary Peter Steinkogler came up with a new concept for sailing vessels, taking high velocity sailing to a new level.
V_REX is a unique, fully maneuverable, monohull sailing vessel designed to efficiently use aerodynamics in a way to reach speeds of over 60 knots.
The current world record of 55 knots for one nautical mile was set in 2012 by the Australian Paul Larson on Vestas Sailrocket 2. It was said that this record will only be broken with a novel approach on construction and design. more on V_REX
